MEET GRANNY and GRANDPA B
Granny Goodwitch is created by Lora, an herbal enthusiast, and homemaker who believes that comfort can often be found in the simplest things.
I have long believed that what we bring into our homes matters. That belief led me to cook and bake from scratch, using non-GMO ingredients whenever possible, sourcing from local farm and ranch families who care for the land the way we try to. When synthetic chemicals caused sensitivities in our household, I began making our own cleaners using essential oils and natural ingredients. It wasn’t trendy. It was necessary. And over time, it became part of our rhythm.
What began as curiosity about herbs, essential oils, and natural living slowly grew into a deeper appreciation for the way plants, scent, and small daily rituals can bring comfort into a home. Much of what inspires the cottage comes from time spent in the garden, experimenting with blends in the kitchen, and learning the quiet wisdom that plants have to offer. The cottage is a reflection of a life shaped by kitchen traditions and a deep appreciation for the natural world.
Every candle, tea blend, and herbal creation is made with the hope that it will bring a little warmth, calm, and everyday magic into someone’s life.
For 37 years, Grandpa B and I have been married, raising six children on our little hobby farm in rural Missouri near the Lake of the Ozarks. Our life has been simple in the best ways — gardens in the summer, woodsmoke in the winter, and a kitchen that has always been the heart of everything.
Grandpa B has worn many hats over the years — Navy Corpsman, Veteran, Volunteer Firefighter, factory worker, best friend, biggest cheerleader, soulmate — always steady, always dependable. These days, you’ll most often find him at the grill or the Blackstone, occasionally “drowning worms” while fishing (rarely catching anything), or reminiscing about the Vehicles he once repaired as our resident shade tree mechanic.
Life has been full. Messy. Beautiful. And through it all, I’ve learned that home isn’t just a place — it’s something you create intentionally, day after day.
Granny Goodwitch is simply an extension of that life. A space built from scratch.
